CREATIVE FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR
For some years, Major Mick Stanley has been raising money for charities by rowing on various stretches of water throughout the United Kingdom in a corrugated boat.
On Monday 25 September 2023 he won the Just Giving Award for the Creative Fundraiser of the Year at a dinner in the Roundhouse in London.
He was delighted to have won this award, not so much for himself but for all the people who
voted for him - he received just under 5,000 votes - and also for the charity “Children on the Edge” which he has been supporting over the last two years.
There were about 600 present at the ceremony. He asked that his thanks be passed on to anyone who supported and voted for him.
