The Patrols competition also marked the hand over of OCs, the Sqn and Regiment waved goodbye to Maj Nick Taylor after 2 very successful years at Regiment including OTX to Oman and taking B Sqn to Mali on ROTO 4. In his place the Sqn was delighted to see the return of Maj Mike Houstoun. A HOTO Highlight was Lobster and Chips at the House of Bruar on the way back from the Patrol Competition!
Exercise WESSEX STORM saw the Regiment come back together for the first time since before NEWCOMBE, and it would be the first time the STA Concept would be tested in a Battle Group context. It saw the Squadron conducting dismounted and mounted ranges before working our way from individual tactical training to operating as part of a Battle Group. Mounted ranges in Castlemartin were fantastic and allowed for some concurrent RoE training in Tenby. C Squadron used WESSEX STORM as an opportunity to develop Sniper, Anti-Tank and sUAS (Drones) Tactics which allowed the Squadron to support BGHQ in all actions and through 2 named storms.
