their crews successfully made the passage to Normandy. And back!
Under the supervision of Rob (Army, Logistics), Yacht Fimbria was extremely well
provisioned (eg 1kg of pasta per person), perhaps giving the appearance that we were making the most of pre-Brexit trade agreements by opening a small branch of Morrisons in Caen. Yacht Trochus on the other hand, victualled by Chippy (Royal Navy, Submariner), appeared to be preparing to open a rather different type of outlet.

After safety briefs and storing for sea, the four yachts set sail for Cowes, practising some drills in the Solent with a gentle breeze and plenty of sunshine. Overnighting in Cowes was variable, the crew in Gladeye enjoying en suite, teak furnished cabins
