OUNDLE
ART GROUP
Meet, paint, learn and chat...
The Oundle Art Group is an opportunity for artists to meet, paint together, exchange ideas and learn new techniques from invited tutors. All levels of ability are welcome from beginners to working artists and
teachers. There is always another
member of the group who can offer
advice and encouragement.
We usually meet in Tansor Village Hall on a Thursday afternoon, 1.45- 3.45pm. The sessions alternate between having a visiting tutor for a workshop
and a more informal afternoon where there is a suggested subject, for example still life. Artists can also work on their own subject if preferred. Subjects covered include landscapes, portraits,

floral works, still life and abstracts, working in oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolours and mixed media.
In summer months we also have outside painting days at various locations around the area including villages, gardens and woodlands. We have many beautiful locations around Oundle so there is always somewhere different to paint. The afternoon often

ends with a sociable cup of tea in a tearoom! This summer we still managed to go out
painting, making sure we were socially distanced, and that artists brought all their own materials, chair and easel.
We have an annual exhibition to help show and sell art from the working artists and display paintings completed throughout the year.
