Throughout history, England has turned out to be a hub of military training for myriads of people across the globe. Among the sundry military academies, RMAS is perpetually recog- nised as the most extolled, prestigious, and emi- nent military institution in the UK. The inducement behind this notion is the formidable and gruelling physical exercises that are regarded to be both transformative and life-changing. I, as an Inter- national OCdt, was selected to join RMAS in the interests of a country that indispensably neces- sitated well-trained and disciplined officers; I found RMAS a ‘once-in-a-lifetime opportunity’. The grounds for acquiring this insight include, but are not limited to, the quality of teaching, variety of new familiarities and the harmonious atmosphere among the Academy, which opens the route to intimacy between OCdts of different backgrounds and countries.
In the first five weeks, which are commonly referred to as the most intense experiences many individuals ever encounter (primary sol- diering and imparting military bearing), I endured a multitude of alterations in my routine. For me, the foremost amelioration in RMAS was indeed, in terms of self-development, becoming an early riser and learning/managing to iron my kit. Additionally, the passing off the square assess-
ment included an examination that incorporated inspection and knowledge tests. I firmly believe that every week for the OCdts in RMAS was thoroughly structured and planned; the first five weeks being the toughest of all is also accu- rate and mercilessly logical since soldiers have to face adversity in the starting point in order to accomplish their distant determinations.
The initial term of Sandhurst emphasises the rudimentary military techniques/skills, stamina- fitness and decision-making. During our primary mission in the woods, we were introduced to navigation tactics, which is purported to be a
