Susan Pentelow has spent most of her life in Northamptonshire, (apart from a brief spell on cruise ships) and is now settled in Titchmarsh. Having seen the world, she now shares her passion for travel by helping others.
When was SJP Holidays established? SJP Holidays was officially launched in 2021, but I’ve been in the travel industry for much longer. Since becoming a personal travel advisor
in 2011, I’ve spent years building trusted relationships and delivering memorable travel experiences for my clients.
Any colleagues, or do you go it alone? While I’m self-employed, I operate under the umbrella of Designer Travel. This gives my clients the peace of mind that every trip I organise is fully financially protected through ABTA and ATOL, ensuring no part of their holiday is at risk.
I handle all bookings personally, and I have a PA who assists with admin tasks, allowing me to
dedicate more time to my clients.
Describe your business in five words...
Personal, trusted, passionate travel expertise Most challenging part of the job? Dealing
with unexpected events like flight cancellations, natural disasters, or unforeseen circumstances that disrupt my clients’ holidays. I am always on hand to assist and find the best solutions quickly, ensuring my clients have as stress-free an experience as possible.
Any funny moments? I still get excited every time I check in to a hotel! At a small place in the Bahamas, I grabbed our room key, waved to my partner, and thumbed through the welcome wallet – only to walk straight into the pool – fully clothed and in front of a crowd!
