The Light Dragoons Nordic Ski Team completed a successful yet ardu- ous Cross Country and Biathlon training camp, in the rolling, snow brushed hills of Beitostolen, Norway.
Lt Ellis deployed with nine others on Sunday 28 November from Catterick, mak- ing their way through France, Belgium, the Netherlands and onto Germany for the infamous Colour Line ferry from Kiel to Oslo, a feat in itself given the Winter Ball the night before. The team quickly made themselves known to the patrons of the onboard Irish bar before heading to the multi-level nightclub. Tpr Keaton’s com- bination of Kenyan party shirt and dance gained him plenty of attention from the mothers onboard.
On arrival in Beitostolen the LD Team set to work, joining Nordic Lifestyles for a training camp run by Ex RLC and GB ath- lete, Marc Walker. On an intensive three week schedule, it was a zero to hero of Nordic training. Eight of the initial twelve
