LIFE
 Conkers, cars and curry!
The days may be getting shorter, but there are still lots of things to do...
Make the most of the late summer sun and enjoy the great outdoors. Whether it be at Barnwell Country Park (page 6) where there is always a stunning display of colourful foliage, or out in your garden to keeping on top of those falling leaves before they build up too much and give you a carpeted lawn (page 21).
Exciting news! We have a new features contributor in the form of Stuart Barker. He is a professional writer and author with a keen interest in local history and likes nothing better than riding round Northants visiting historical sites on his motorcycle. His first story ‘To kill a queen’ features the beautiful village of
Fotheringhay and tells us the grisly tale of Mary Queen of Scots (page 12).
Early October brings the World Conker Championships to Southwick – and there’s still time to enter a team. Everyone can do it, young and old, so rally the family and take them along to have a go – it’s such a fun day out (page 9).
After all that excitement, why not settle back with a big bowl of chicken curry, made to the wonderful recipe provided by the lovely people at AGA (page 34).
