                                TOP BANANA BAND
in the name of charity
James Rutterford Trust presents – The Top Banana Band at Barnwell Village Hall on Saturday 16th March 2024.
The James Rutterford Fund was set up in 1993 in memory of James, a former student of Prince William School and member of the Army Cadets, who was killed in a car accident.
James staged discos in Oundle so that youngsters in the area could enjoy local entertainment. These discos were continued by his parents and friends and the profits generated established the fund. The Trust is funded by donations from local people and organisations, and Mrs Rutterford’s fundraising functions.
The Trust is targeted at families who need financial support to enable their children to take part in school activities, school trips, to provide equipment to aid their study or to support out-of-hours school activities. The fund is not necessarily for people receiving benefits – there are many working families that find themselves under financial pressures which may preclude their child from accessing school activities.
The Trustees would like to thank all of the supporters of the fund who give their time to raise money in memory of James, to ensure students at PWS can be involved in all activities whatever their financial situation.
