Thrapston Remembrance Service on 10 November 2024
10.00 Parade Assembles from 10am outside the Fire Station 10.15 Parade in order.
10.20 Parade departs for St James Church, arrive at Church
via the Oundle Road gate,
10.30 Church Service with Thrapston Town Band, will begin
and include the Two minutes silence at 11.00am Parade will return by reverse route before 12.30pm.
There WILL NOT be a 3pm service!
Monday 11 November:
Armistice Day Service at the Coronation Gardens War Memorial.
Assemble from 10.45am, service at 11am
11.20 approx’ the ‘Walk of Remembrance’ to Oundle Road Cemetery with
children from our primary school to place the Poppy Crosses on the War Graves in our Town Cemetery”
As Autumn arrives, we can look back at a busy summer, with trips to Althorp, Lincoln and Stamford. The fun’s not over, though,
as we look ahead to more trips to the National Arboretum and Oxford Christmas Market, a Christmas meal, a candle making workshop in Northampton and pottery painting at Stanwick Lakes.
Our monthly meetings are held at Thrapston Baptist Church, on the 1st Thursday of the month. Seeing out 2024, we have in November a speaker telling us about his visit to the Himalayas. In December we shall celebrate the season with musical entertainment from the wonderful Lincoln Noel.
Visitors are always welcome. £5 entry, refreshments included.
THRAPSTON
LADIES CLUB
Thrapston Ladies Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at Thrapston Baptist Church at 7.30pm. We have a range of different speakers each month, our meeting in November is our AGM and The Cransley Hospice Community Choir will be entertaining us.
Please note: The change of date (for this month only) is TUESDAY 12th NOVEMBER.
We are informal and friendly and look forward to welcoming new members.
