the increase in need for community-led support organisations and child and young person mental health challenges are something that we have a moral obligation to support.
Your favourite place in the school? I would say, apart from the incredible science department, probably the Art, Food and DT space. The facilities in the school truly
are fantastic, but it is in the creative, performance and sports subjects that students can find a place to step away
from behind a desk to develop their characters in a rounded way. We also
have the new Sports Centre that opened
a couple of weeks ago and provides
the community with Sports England standard facilities. If any readers are looking for somewhere to host local sports clubs, then please ask them to contact us at reception@pws.emat.uk and we would be delighted to get back to them to arrange.
Who makes you laugh? Lots of things! Mainly my children – never a dull day with two daughters! And working with 1350 young
people means there is never a quiet moment. Dinner out or at home? At home, with my family and friends, a large BBQ in the garden
with the fire pit alight when the sun goes down. You have a day off, what do you do? Probably
I will try my hardest to get up early and go for a run, but more likely, a cup of coffee in bed

reading the newspaper, and then a late morning run. A nice big family lunch followed by a walk or a board game.
If money was no object, where would you visit? This is an easy one! Mongolia! I am desperate to visit Mongolia. Or Raja Ampat in Indonesia. I’m a keen scuba diver and the diving in Raja Ampat is supposed to be incredible.
Dog, cat or iguana – who’s at home? I’m sorry to say that at the moment we don’t have any pets. But my daughters and I are petitioning my husband hard for a dog!
Jaffa cake or Hobnob? Hobnob every time. Jaffa cakes would go in Room 101! www.pws.emat.uk
