Oundle Rotary’s 50th anniversary
The lazy days of summer have come and gone and a busy winter approaches for Oundle Rotary. The highlight of this season’s schedule is our Charter Night dinner for Oundle Rotarians, past and present, to celebrate
the 50th Anniversary of the Club. Running alongside these preparations will be furtive
for Rotary as it provides us with the best opportunity to raise funds for the charities we have decided to support. Alongside Oundle Fire Brigade and The Salvation Army band without whom, the concert would be impossible, we
will be raising money for our charities, some of which are Birch Tree Café, Alzheimer’s Society
  activity to get the wheels turning for our Christmas fundraising campaign. This will begin with our Christmas concert on Friday 6th December at 7.45pm, at St. Peter’s Church – tickets will be on sale in early November from Colemans Bookshop and Greenman Antiques.
No Christmas season would be complete without our Santa’s Sleigh
& Corby Dementia.
As with all our features we like to
take the opportunity to encourage
any new Rotarians to join our group. We can always use additional help
and Christmas is such a busy time but equally a time to become involved and learn about Rotary. Being a Rotarian is very much about playing to the
 Hot on the heels of the concert,
literally the next day, our elves will be found on the grotto at Oundle’s Christmas Market
to ensure as many children get to meet the big man himself. No Christmas season would be complete without our Santa’s Sleigh, which
will once again be supported by Oundle Fire Brigade, one of our chosen charities for this year. The Sleigh will be running from the 11th- 13th and 18-20th December, in and around Oundle and the surrounding villages. Routes will be on our Facebook page nearer the time.
Christmas is the busiest time of the year
strengths of individual members and quality testing local eateries and beverages. So, if you think you might like to volunteer some spare time, and if Rotary sounds like the organisation for you, we’d like to hear from you!
We meet every two weeks on a Tuesday evening from 7pm.
