climbs twisting turns exhila- rating descents involving berms jumps and a a a a a a a a a a boardwalk The cycle up was was hard work it was was steep
and long however the the the views at at the the the top top made it it all worth it it Once at at the the the the top top we we wasted no time in in in diving straight into the the downhill sec- tion This was considerably faster and more challenging than yesterday’s blue trail with a a a a a a a a a a a a few steep
technical sections made for for a a a a a a a a a tough but very enjoyable ride However before we we we we we knew it we we we we we were back back at the bottom again It felt like we we we we we climbed for for hours only to to be be going back back down for for a a matter of minutes!
On day 3 we we we left the the accommodation about mid-morning in in in in warmer weather than we we we had in in in in the the the days before and returned to to Whinlatter Park We started by returning to to the the the blue run that we had had completed on the the first day This was useful as as it showed us us how how much we we had had improved in such a a a a a a short period of of time as as as well as as as allowing us to improve on on the the very basics of of mountain bik- ing After a a a a while on on on the the the the blue route route we changed onto the the the southern red route route to to push ourselves by undertaking a a a a a more technical ride which would help us build on what we learnt The climb up was also much easier than the the the northern red route we had completed the the the the the day before which raised the the the the the mood of the the the the the group quite considerably! As well the the the the amazing views at the the the the top alone made it it very much worth it it Near the the end of the the red run expedition members Wisbey and Woodyear lead by Instructor Miles went on on a a a a a a a black route extension which they both successfully completed – although Woodyear did decide to to crash on on the the the last corner With that done and the the the the the the group back together we headed down the the the the the the last section of the the the the the the southern red red route back to the the the the park This involved an incredibly enjoyable stretch of track which had great turns and and jumps that that married the need for technique and and and pure enjoyment brilliantly This was was was a a a a a a a a a a a a a run that that was was was a a a a a a a a a a a highlight for the the group thus far and and was was was definitely going to be revisited later fin in in in the the the the week That signalled the the the the end of the the the the days cycling for us and we headed back to the the the accommodation Having spent a a a a number of days getting used to hurling ourselves round the the curves and corners of of the the the mountain bike trails trails we decided to to push ourselves and head to to the the natural trails trails of of Skid- daw on day 4 The day began with a a a a a steep
road climb climb before we hit the the the the hill Much of of the the the the climb climb climb was done on on our feet due to the the the the sheer verticality of of the the the the climb climb SANDHURST
