GENERAL INTEREST
Dental Centre Harrogate
Sgt Vicki Griffiths, RADC
It has been a busy time at Dental Centre Harrogate. Sgt Candice Bridgeford was posted to Camberley and Sgt Vicki Griffiths posted in from RHQ Catterick. LCpl Mellissa Naulls and LCpl Phoebe Clarke both successfully passed their NEBDN, deciding that they wanted to learn more they also went on to gain their Topical Fluoride and Impression Taking qualifications. Furthermore, they both also passed their PNCO Cadre in April 2017. Mrs Los-Herringshaw had a baby girl Zosha but realised she enjoyed being a mummy full time and sadly left the Dental Centre.
Maj Kat Dransfield and LCpl Mellissa Naulls had a ‘holiday’ when they deployed to Kenya, both at different times of the year, so only one was lucky enough to enjoy the sun and not the rain!
Dr Sarah Frankland continues to keep our stats brilliant with her constant clinical work supported by the equally hard working nurses Mrs Lorna Overton and Mrs Elaine Stanton. Mrs Stanton also received Employee of the Quarter for her dedication to the centre, keeping it afloat whilst the Practice Manager post was gapped.
and LCpl Naulls represented the Dental Centre on a Battlefield Tour with AFC Harrogate in Sicily – which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
LCpl Naulls got a posting to Dental Centre Woodbridge to become a one chair Practice Manager.

Pretty Muddy Challenge
On the 15th June 2017, the Military staff at Dental Centre Harrogate embarked on the 5K Pretty Muddy Challenge to help raise money for Cancer Research.
The Pretty Muddy challenge was an amazing experience and such good fun! Everyone was so enthusiastic and
motivated! With over 5 Muddy obstacles that were included in the Pretty Muddy race, it challenged every individual in different areas.
So with our pink battle paint drawn
on and our Race for life t- shirts on, we prepped for our Muddy challenge and loved
every second of it!
From crawling through the mud under
netting and jumping over obstacles it certainly was a morning to remember.
