Welcome to the last ever Jigsaw magazine!
Yes, this is the very final edition –
but it’s not all bad news...
We have been working together with June Davy (and before that Clive Steward) on Thrapston parish magazines for around 30 years. In that time they have taken many different forms.
You may remember in our July issue we conducted a survey to ask your opinions on what you’d like to see in the pages of your local magazine. We then spent a huge amount of time deliberating over your answers and from January 2022 (the next issue) Jigsaw
will now be called ‘Thrapston Life’. It’s pages will be full of local news and information, as well as interesting articles and stories about people from around the area. We will also be introducing a few new items too, ones that you suggested in your survey responses, such as a crossword puzzle, gardening tips and a recipe.
This new magazine will need you!
WE NEED your input! Send us the stories you would like to share. It could be about
your sports club and their results, charity fundraising, an event, or you could ask us to expose the good deeds of a local hero. We want to fill the pages with things that you would like to read about.
But we still need even more from you...
Please use and support the advertisers that kindly appear in the pages of the magazine. It’s only the funding generated by the adverts that enables us to produce the publication at all.
If the pandemic has taught us one thing – it’s to appreciate the local people and businesses that were there for us, even when the world around us seemed to be shut down. Now is
your chance to repay them and keep your High Street alive by shopping local. Just think how green and cost effective it is, to travel no further than your local High Street to source everything from your turkey to your festive gifts.
We wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas and a healthy and happy 2022.
...and in January 2022, look out for the very first issue of Thrapston Life!
