   Bella Barista
Nene Court , Wellingborough
Tel: 01933 273275
Open Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
Marcel told me that "back in the day under the Towability banner we were building the first mobile catering units to have espresso machines, offering a freshly brewed alternative to instant coffee. We were constantly being asked how customers could get coffee that good at home. As a result, in 1998 Bella Barista was born, specialising in high end domestic coffee machines and equipment.
Jump forward to 2014 and after many years of using other people's coffee in our machines, we decided it was time to provide out customers with the speciality coffee their equipment deserved.
We started roasting with one goal; to make the best coffee we could. It's our constant endeavour to source, roast and brew better coffee. Through our wholesale partners we get to share coffee that we love with others.
Come along and sample our freshly roasted coffee."
The Hare Pie Cafe
Hallaton • Lydia Fountain 07982 199363 Open 6 days a week . Closed Mondays .
Secreted behind the village pub you will happen upon The Hare Pie Cafe which really amazed me with its fabulous country atmosphere and ecclectic mix of homemade soups and speciality sandwiches: such as the brie, bacon and cranberry or the Vespa – bacon, cheese, avocado, tomatoes and leaves. The selection of homemade cakes are truly mouthwatering. Sit out on the terrace to the rear, as I did, and take in the wonderful countryside views.
    The George and Dragon
2 Main Street, Seaton, Oakham LE15 9HU Tel: 01572 747418
While on my travels I’ve dined on a few occasions at the G&D in Seaton which is a relatively newly renovated pub / restaurant operated by a young and charismatic owner called Ralph. The menu has a really contemporary feel about it with fine cuts of meat served on wooden blocks . Architecturally landscaped patio style gardens provide for atmospheric alfresco dining. Definitely worth a visit!
