Check out your library – it’s more than just books...
Rhymetime in the Library on a Friday morning is now taking place between 11.15am and 11.45am and is being led by an NCC Library Assistant, as the NCC have pulled out the children’s services teacher. Unless we can find a volunteer, who would be interested in taking this session and the Thursday morning Play & Learn session, we may struggle to keep them going when Thrapston Library becomes a Community Library, which could well happen before Christmas.
We are advertising for a Volunteer who would be willing to run two or three young children’s sessions per week and it would ideally suit a retired Primary School teacher or a Learning Assistant. If you are interested please contact the Library.
Our next coffee morning will be held on Wednesday October 16th between 10.30am and 12 noon.
We will be holding 2 x 1 hour Halloween themed children’s activity sessions on the afternoon of Tuesday October 29th between 2pm and 4pm in the Library, as it is half term week. Booking is advisable as places are limited. (We will be extending the opening hours for this Tuesday only because it is half term).
