The Cadet Forces are always up for a challenge and from March onwards this year all three service cadet forces have had to use their initiative, innovation and many other skills to keep their units on line with training

This has had to continue throughout the summer months and has showed that the Officers and Adult Instructors have strived to provide stimulating and worthwhile training for both adults and cadets across the region. For some of the examples of this training see the many stories showing the breadth and depth of talent which has been revealed.
At the end of the summer, our
very good friend, Lieutenant Colonel Jeremy Bleasdale, Deputy Chief Executive at the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association, retired after almost fifteen years in post. We wish him well in retirement and welcome his successor, Lieutenant Colonel Wayne Pledger, who we are sure to see a great deal of once we can return to the normal way of operating.

Please continue to send, high quality stories and pictures in for
the magazine, which makes for excellent reading material, not just around Yorkshire and the Humber,
but nationally. A plea though, do look closely at the quality of the pictures being sent with stories; many have been rejected as they of poor quality or content and would detract from what would otherwise be good contribu- tions. Keep sending your stories and do please note the copy dates below and the guidance notes on submission of articles.
