An Evening of Jazz at St. Andrew’s Church, Barnwell on Friday 18th March 2022, 7.30pm
Performed by the sought after Oundle School Jazz Orchestra and comprising of two 45 minute performances, each filling
the church with standard jazz classics, popular music, and film – something for everyone!
The Orchestra (known as OSJO) has 31 members aged from 15 to 18 years of age and is under the direction of Head of Brass & Woodwind at Oundle School, Adele Hudson.
OSJO has performed all over the world including a school’s jazz festival in Barbados, at the Fribourg Jazz Festival and at the world famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Closer to home the band has performed at the
Birmingham Symphony Hall with the Birmingham Conservatoire
Big Band, and alongside the Royal College of Music Big Band in the Great Hall at Oundle School, and at the RCM in London.
St Andrew’s Barnwell is a beautiful 13th BcEeSPnOtKuE rMyORpTaGArGisEhADVICE church with links to the HRH Duke of Gloucester who grew up
in Barnwell Manor, was married and baptised his children in the church. The church is heated, has a toilet, and a carpark which is accessed off Well Lane and will be signposted.
