Cream teas
This was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by many to raise money for Christian Aid. Particular thanks to those who came and helped to raise £272.60, not to mention thanks to the bakers, servers and washer-uppers!
Fete and Barbeque
Despite appalling weather, the ‘show’
went on! We held our annual Church and village fete inside the church. There was a fascinating display of photos and articles about the village from the 19th century to present day, which will remain up in the church for the next 3 weeks if anyone would like to see it. The Queen’s birthday Derby or Anzac meeting, was won by a horse owned by Pat and Ray Langford, after a hard fought race! Many thanks to Stuart and Alan, our chefs extraordinaire, for some delicious steaks etc.
Thanks are also needed for the amazing hard work, put in by a brilliant team, to make both events such a fantastic success.

If you read this in time, don’t forget our wedding celebration weekend at church on Friday 5th (10.30am–4.30pm), Saturday 6th (10am–5pm) and Sunday 7th (1–4pm) followed by a Celebration of Weddings in hymns and readings and prayers at 5pm.
