   PRIMARY CARE REHABILITATION FACILITY DHEKELIA
SSgt (SSI) D Best RAPTC
As my time comes to an end at PCRF Dhekelia, I reflect on what has been the most enjoyable post of my career. The practice has been an outstanding workplace.
A team that includes two physios that embrace S&C, are proactive and are a joy to work with has seen other PCRFs across the island utilise our framework and adopt the way we conduct our business.
Outside the office has been even more rewarding. I have had the opportunity to spend some amazing bonding time with my family. My daughter has swum with turtles, seen dolphins in the wild and had life experiences that people dream of.
A personal highlight of mine this year was organising the first Rugby Inter Services game in Cyprus since 2019. I was fortunate to manage the Army side to victory against the RAF with the help of coach and RAPTC Apostle, SSgt (SSI) Luke Brimble. The Army squad were victorious against the RAF and saw the Army lift the Zamalek Challenge Cup despite being massive underdogs. The final score being 25 – 17.
My family and I will be leaving PCRF Dhekelia in September 2022 with remarkable memories and friends for life. I would advise anyone to grasp the opportunity with both hands to post out to Cyprus and enjoy what this beautiful country has to offer.
