My two thoughts when reflecting on my time in Cyprus as my journey comes to an end are the pandemic and people. Firstly, the pandemic.... we arrived at the start which was
an experience in itself and having one eye on the UK news for our family and the other on Republic of Cyprus news for us has been challenging. Worrying whether family members were OK, due to the exacerbating situation of C-19 to the situation here and having to live with the mad measures being put upon us from the Government of Cyprus. Truly an experience.
Secondly, the people both professionally and personally. Professionally, I have had the opportunity to work with some great people, I have developed from those above me and hopefully

mentored and educated those below me. Personally, I have made some friends for life and had lots of significant fun times. All contributing in making the experience of Cyprus amazing.
Included in these people is obviously the family of RAPTCI’s serving out here, all of them remarkable and 100% true ambassadors for the Corps. Well done, all of you. The task’s given to you and the support you have given back, I thank you all.
In closing, I would advise any fellow SO2’s to grasp this post if you are lucky enough to be offered it. Cyprus is a beautiful country and has so much on offer. The family will not regret it and my final words would be “αντίο και καλή τύχη”.
