Celebrating 30 years in Oundle
Having had a shop in Oundle for nearly 30 years, Oxfam has long been part of this vibrant community. Two years ago, we expanded and opened the book and music shop next door. It has been a very successful decision as it allows us to sell much more in both shops, and makes it easier for customers to donate to us. Both shops have a full time manager and they are supported by wonderful volunteers who give their time, skills and experience for free.
Oxfam continues to carry out vital work
in parts of the world where even tap water is not accessible to families. Every pound that is spent in our shops goes towards eradicating poverty. We have a donation point for those wishing to give money. Customers can choose whether their money goes to the current appeal (currently India) or they can specify which
other appeal they would like to support. Oxfam Unwrapped is the perfect gift for people who like to support others. These are specific gifts that support a wide range of needs such as ‘wonderful water pump’ and ‘super seeds’.
Along with donated goods, we also sell lovely cards and a range of new goods such as tea, coffee, shampoo, and beautiful gifts that have been handmade in other countries. During the festive season we stock lots of chocolate, advent calendars, cards and gift wrap.
We feel well supported by the local community, who donate some amazing items and would like to thank you all for being loyal customers especially during the past year.
We welcome donations Monday – Saturday between 9am and 5pm. Pop in and see what treasures we have, a warm welcome awaits you.
