LIFE
 Crazy days and eating out...
The summer months are here with their big blue skies and warm evenings.
As champions of local business, Oundle Life would like to encourage you to support your pubs, restaurants, cafes and even hotels, by eating out and helping them after the turmoil of the previous months. Take a look at our ‘We’re back’ feature which gives you an insight into the different eateries that will tantalize your tastebuds in our area (page 34).
Finally, Oundle Life’s Caroline Nall is abseiling down the Northampton Lift Tower in aid of
the NHS at Kettering General Hospital. If
you can spare a few pounds to make her fear worthwhile, please read her story (page 37).
For many years I have admired the incredible artistic talents of Barney Broadbent. His sculptures are inspired by the natural world and the beautiful nature reserve that he calls home. While you may not be familiar with his name, you could have seen his work already, as he designed the Tap and Kitchen on the Wharf. Barney has recently opened a gallery, so why not go along and take a look? (page 8).
This month, Joe Croser takes a look at the National Trust property of Lyveden New Bield and asks if it did ever have a roof? (page 21).
If you are feeling peckish, then the Q&A this month might just tempt you to visit ‘The Monty’ in Barnwell. Ian Simmons is celebrating his 25th year at the pub and it’s not just the beer that keeps people coming back for more, just take a look at that food... (page 26).
