FIELD OF REMEMBRANCE, LONDON
The Field of Remembrance event at Westminster Abbey was held
on a clear and calm Thursday morning, with The Rifles very well represented by many veteran and serving Riflemen. Notably, there was also a very good turnout from our antecedent regiments, many of whom I had the good fortune to meet during the morning. On this particular day, I had the pleasure of hosting Chelsea Pensioner Pat Cody 86 (KRRC) and serving Rifleman WO2 Paul Goldsmith (No 11 SFA Bde). Pat had the distinction of representing The Rifles at our plot and the good fortune to meet and chat with the Queen Consort. This was a respectful and quietly moving day of tribute.
