decided to plant 100% winter barley on the total acreage. We later bought a further 25 acres a mile away on the Harrington Road which gave us a commercial 59 acres of standardised produce which was reduced to 53 acres as Jo had the two 3 acre hill elds for grazing when she started her riding school in 1981.
