are always of the highest
professional standard; and now
we’re connecting with buyers
and vendors through Facebook.
It all started with a conversation about a celebrity’s house in London. A few of us were discussing it in a meeting and one colleague asked how we knew it was for sale. “I saw it on Facebook” was the synchronised answer from the rest of the team.
That lit a lightbulb, and we looked
at each other and wondered why we
weren’t sharing our interesting and beautiful properties on Facebook for the local community (and the world!) to comment on and talk about.
And so, a few months ago, we started working with a social media expert to help us really make the most of each branch’s Facebook account. We wanted to create a buzz about the amazing towns and villages we work in, and really get to know our local community. We knew Facebook was a brilliant way to do this, because of our own personal experience of what we’d seen and talked about.
Facebook is such a quick and easy platform to share things on. Like other estate agents, we list our properties on our own website, and on Rightmove, but we now also share some onto our Facebook pages. This is different to Rightmove, because it allows you to comment on the picture, tag your Facebook friends, and give us feedback on the property. It also means that many, many more people will see the property, and that means a faster sale for you!
We have been blown away by the success of our on-going Facebook activity. We share posts about the team, local news (and roadworks to watch out for!), as well as houses for sale and rent, and the feedback we have received from you, our Facebook fans, has been fantastic. There is no better feeling for the vendor (or us!) than when we post details of an amazing house for sale, and an enquiry comes in because they saw the house
on Facebook. (We even sold a property before it went
on Rightmove thanks to a Facebook post. What a happy vendor that made!).
