Foreword from the
Station
Commander
Wing Commander Farley-West
This has been a bumper period and I expect when you see just how much is covered in this edition of The Eagleye you will be amazed at how much individuals, teams, clubs and committees have achieved in recent months. For this I would like to say a huge thank you to you all and also to express how proud I am every day to have the privilege of being Stn Cdr Wyton.
Whilst never far from our consciousness, this period has allowed the station to bloom again as we have emerged from Covid. We have been able to reinvigorate and breathe life back into gatherings, events and competitions which simply has not been possible over the previous years. This has been especially important to all living and working at Wyton,
not only in Her Majesty The Queen’s very special Platinum Jubilee Year but as so many of you have been delivering outstanding work in support of Op SCORPIUS.
This edition is a clear example of the enthusiasm and energy here at Wyton to deliver fantastic events for the whole community, to selflessly support charities regardless of the pressures in your daily lives and to gain sporting achievements across a diverse range of inclusive activities. Please take a moment from your incredibly busy lives to see what has been going on and not least to see where you might like to get involved in the breadth of initiatives going on. I can’t wait to see what we can all achieve in the next 6 months to come!
