Healthy Pet Supplies Ltd was formed and rebranded in January this year. Very proud owners George & Diane Montgomery, a local family took on the shop to provide the community with a friendly and personalised service, as animal lovers, they strive to provide a shop with traditional values that so many small towns and villages have lost. Previously known and fondly remembered by locals as “the old sweet shop” on Huntingdon Road, although modernised it has retained its character, there is even a “pick and mix” counter for dogs.
The shelves and freezers are stocked with a wide range of dry, wet and frozen Pet foods and the shop staff are qualified to give advice on Pet Nutrition. There is an increased interest to raw feed dogs,
so there are 5 freezers stocked with top British brands: Natures Menu, Bulmers and Cotswold Raw, the shop Manager, Jen is extremely knowledgeable and a qualified Raw Advisor.
Healthy Pets are proud stockists of locally grown wild bird feed, the seed is grown
and harvested at a conservation farm by Eyebrook Reservoir which is a haven for wild birds. There is a good range of mixes available including recipes for garden birds, Tree Sparrows, Fledglings, robins, ground birds etc, the mixed corn has been a hit with chickens too.
The staff are friendly and love to welcome customers with their pet in tow, a treat if always on offer for our furry or feathered friends. This is what a small local business should be all about.
