At the beginning of June we will be celebrating Pentecost also known as Whitsun or the birthday of the church. As this coincides with the Queen’s Jubilee weekend we are planning to hold an outdoor service on the Sunday morning preceded by breakfast in church and craft activities. It’s going to be a very special day so come and join us. You’ll be very welcome.
St James Church will also be open for tea and cakes on Charter Fair day so take a break from the hustle and bustle of the High Street and enjoy a cup of tea in our beautiful church. Look out for our stall on the High Street! There will be craft stalls in the churchyard during Charter Fair with many local crafts available.

If you can’t make Sunday why not pop in on a Tuesday morning?
Tuesday Communion Services at 9.45am in the chancel of St James Church. All are welcome.
Tuesday Together and Saturday Coffee mornings are proving very popular so why not join us in St James Thrapston between 10am and 12noon on Tuesdays or Saturdays.
Praise and Play is a group for pre-school children and their parents or carers. We meet in church every Monday morning during term time from 9.00am-10.30am.
Knitting for beginners on Monday evenings from 6.30-8.00pm. Come along and learn how to knit or crochet. It’s free! No need to book or even bring your own knitting at the beginning. For more details contact Sue on 01832 733717.
JAMES Club is a thriving group for Primary age children that meets during the 9.30am service on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month. Email tdichurches@gmail.com for more information or come along and try it out.
Our Youth group for 11+ meets on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month during the service on Sunday mornings too. More details from tdichurches@gmail.com

A change to your Denford Calendar
A decision has been made, due to the Village Jubilee Celebrations being so close, to postpone the Annual Church and Village Fete until Saturday July 2nd. The date of the Church BBQ will also be postponed until Sunday July 10th. The Harvest Festival will now be on Sunday 9th October with Monday 10th being the Harvest supper.
