What’s on the menu? We offer a range of drinks, sandwiches and light snacks. On request we also cater for group meals.
Do you have to be a member to play? You are welcome to play at Oundle Golf Club as a visitor, just pop into the pro shop or give us a call on 01832 273267.
You have £10 to give to charity, who do you choose? Chris: The Firefighters Charity – I have recently retired from the service and know first-hand the excellent job that the charity does. Karen: I would give it back to the golf club.
What’s the best thing about being near Oundle? Chris: The links we have with Oundle School. Also, the views of the town we have from the veranda in the club house. Karen: I love the atmosphere of the Market Town.
Can the bar be hired for private functions?
Yes – we’ve recently hosted birthday parties,
a Burns evening, a wake and an engagement party. Just get in touch and tell us about your requirements, email: office@oundlegolfclub.com
What makes Oundle Golf Club so
special? Chris: The friendly atmosphere, right throughout the club. You can always get a
game at Oundle GC. Karen: In times of need, all members are on board, and during Covid everyone kept the club going. I absolutely love the course and am now enjoying my ‘Tenure’ as Womens’ Captain.
If money was no object, where would you visit? Chris: It would have to be Augusta. They say on the TV that it’s a lot hillier than it looks. It would be interesting to see if the fairways are as sloping as Oundle. You very rarely get a flat lie here. Karen: St Andrews.
What brings you joy on the golf course?
Chris: Seeing all the wildlife. We have
hares, green woodpeckers, lots of red kites, squirrels and the occasional peacock from the neighbouring farm. Karen: The wonderful social aspect golf brings.
