Barnwell Trailers Ltd was established in 1982 by Simon and Debbie Berridge. It is now run by Mike Battams, who was the manager at Pick Arthey Garage in Oundle for 30 years. Here Mike tells us all about the business...
What made you choose Barnwell? Castle Farm and it’s 500 acres of arable land has been managed by the Berridge Family for the last 100 years so it was the natural place to establish Barnwell Trailers Ltd. We are lucky enough
to work in a beautiful location and customers often comment on how lovely it is.
Tell us more... Barnwell Trailers Ltd originally started out selling just four models of trailers. We now have over 100 different models in stock. We hire out a couple of different sized car transporters and a box van and we also have an incredibly busy service department based in our onsite workshop. Our workshop is run by
our two very experienced mechanics, one whom has been with us for 25 years, and the other who has been a mechanic for 25 years. We do annual trailer services and trailer repairs. We also have a large stock of spare parts to keep your trailers running.
Any plans to expand further? Barnwell Trailers Ltd has a sister company based in Norwich called Norfolk Trailers Ltd, run by Simon’s eldest son Michael and his wife Claire. Between us we cover the Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Leicestershire area. We are the main Ifor Williams distributor for the East of England area.

We are lucky enough to work in a beautiful location selling a fantastic product to our lovely customers!
