Creative Oundle
The community-based arts charity, Creative Oundle (formerly Oundle Music Trust), has been organising arts events in and around Oundle for 40 years, including its renowned organ courses, the annual Party at the Wharf and a host of other music and performance events. Last year, it dipped its toes into the waters of comedy for the first time and is now organising a highly successful, second series of comedy shows held at Queen Victoria Hall, Oundle. To date, each of the shows has been a sell out or a near sell out.
The next show takes place on 24th January and will feature the amazing Jonny Awsum – star of Britain’s Got Talent whose performance racked up a staggering 50 million views on YouTube! Returning to Oundle will also be the incredible Alex Hylton providing his hilarious mix of anecdotes and one-liners. They will be joined
by Roger Monkhouse, a regular at London’s Comedy Store – “one of the consummate professionals of the stand-up circuit.”
The final show of the current series will be
on March 21st, 2025. This will feature not just one but two winners of the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award – Tom Little
and Jack Gleadow – who will be joined by the ultra-talented Edi Johnson, an award-winning Ukulele-playing comedian from Nottingham who has featured on Channel 5 and BBC Radio as well as winning the Musical Comedy Song Contest (2022). Tom was also a finalist for a BBC Radio New Comedy Award while Jack has performed at Glastonbury and Latitude festivals and is a former winner of the Amused Moose National New Comic Award.
Both events are proudly sponsored by the Lemon Tree Cafe and Restaurant (6 West Street, Oundle).
Tickets for both shows, together with further information about Creative Oundle are available from www.creativeoundle.co.uk
