Get on your bike and get ready to Ride and Stride in 2018
Northamptonshire Historic Churches Trust’s purpose is to make grants
to churches and chapels for their preservation, repair and improvement. It
is nondenominational and churches need not be historic to benefit. In 2016 the Trust made grants of a total value of £55,500. Approximately half of the funds used to make these grants was raised by the Annual Ride+Stride.
The next Sponsored Ride+Stride takes place on Saturday 8th September 2018. This annual event is an excellent way of raising funds for your own church as well as the Trust, as 50% of the money that you raise is returned to the church of your choice. In addition, there is the opportunity to visit and admire some of the most
wonderful buildings in the county.
People of any age can take part as you
can choose your own route, according to how many churches you wish to visit on the day. Most of the churches in the County will be open from 10.00 – 18.00 and if riding or striding is not your thing why not use the same sponsor forms to have a sponsored “Pray and Stay” while welcoming the riders and striders to your church?
Please take part in Ride+Stride so that the Trust can continue to make grants
