The Gazette QARANC Association 27
meant that the military marching contingents finished at an area just outside Nijmegen. This is where the teams were presented with their medals.
For Maj James, WO2 Cahill and Sgt Beekhun this was their second successful marches and third successful for LNN Angel.
After a short rest break, the British Military Teams formed up for a victory march into the centre of Nijmegen, where the streets were lined with spectators and the carnival atmosphere was in full swing.
All 10 members successfully completed the marches – a great achievement and an indication
of the morale and determination of all. It was great to hear from the QAs that were part of the AMS team providing RLS at the Camp Heumensoord and the rest stops, that they had not treated a single QA in any of the facilities throughout the period of the marches.
At the time of writing the team have raised over £1500 for the Fisher House charity.
Thank you to the QARANC Association who kindly donated toward the personal contribution needed for the qualifying march.
