     The Partnership with Lantra was launched at the NAS Management Meeting on Thursday 21st March 2019.

This training is suitable for anyone new to rodent control or wishing to develop their skills further in rodent control. This
is an assessed course; on successful completion, you will receive a certificate of training.

• Safe use of Biocides including safe storage, transport and disposal
• Transport of Rodenticides, keeping Rodenticide records and recording information correctly
• Understand your responsibilities under the law and how to comply with legislation
• Interpret and use product label information
• How to protect equipment, property and
public health
• How to monitor and record rodent activity,
identifying rats and mice and the typical
symptoms of damage caused
• Identify the degree and source of an
infestation - lifestyle, habits and habitats of
rats and mice
• How to avoid harbouring rodents; planning
and implementing effective control programmes in line with current guidelines and recognised good practice
• Understanding the effect rodent control can have on the environment and ensure risks to non-target animals are minimised
