Potato Days 2019
We all have our favourite potato, but at the beginning of each new year there is the opportunity to visit a potato day event and select some of the more unusual varieties. This year we took the opportunity to meet many of the adventurous purchasers early in January at the Oxford Potato Day. The event was well attended.
At the end of February, once again we crossed over the border into South West territory to have a stand at the Frome Potato Day that was organised by Incredible Edible Frome, supported by Pennard Plants. It was a very rural community event with about fifteen other stalls in addition to the potato stall, marketing numerous varieties
of garden plants, garden equipment, vegetables and other country produce. We hope we helped out numerous visitors with gardening advice and gave encouragement to the many who were just about to venture into the world
of allotmenteering, having recently acquired an allotment plot.
