                                Annual Camp 2021 – Nesscliffe
Annual Camp was held at Nesscliffe Training Camp with 224 Cadets plus 79 CFAV. Training included: Skill at Arms, shooting and a 48-hour FTX. Exercises were held for basic cadets to practise fieldcraft, camp craft, sleeping under bashas and paintball CQB lanes. The more senior cadets took part in a 3-day exercise which culminated
in the defence of their harbour area from an enemy section attack.
Annual Drill Competition
and CFAV Presentations
The Annual Drill Competition, held at Midland Rd Cadet Centre in Worcester
was attended by Cadets from all Mercian Detachments. This was also an opportunity for some of our CFAV to be presented with awards. These included SSI Steve Padmore who received his Cadet
Force Medal for 13
years’ service and SMI
Keith Newman who
received his third Cadet
Force Medal Bar for 30
years’ service.

Finally, the previous twenty months have been a challenging time but both Cadets and CFAV alike have adapted well to the restrictions and shone through to ensure that we kept the flame alive and continued to deliver the Cadet Experience.
