Burley Gardeners Annual Show at Burley-in- Wharfedale, Yorkshire

Burley Gardeners requested that I attend as guest of honour and present the trophies and certificates at the Show.
There was a great turn-out and it was quite crowded at times. Tea, coffee, and cakes were available – and the cakes were lovely.
Some grand vegetables and lovely flowers were on display, but one category caught my eye which I have never seen before at a show before
and that was ‘A Disaster’, something to consider for your shows. A very novel idea. Everyone has a disaster.
The cakes and jams on display were rather mouth-watering and the children’s exhibits were really imaginative.
Much of the produce was auctioned off at the end of the show to raise even more funds. It was a lovely afternoon.
