SURGERY NEWS
Lakeside Healthcare
During last two months Lakeside Healthcare at Oundle launched a new online consultation platform. Anima is a tool that can be used to submit acute and routine clinical problems and concerns. A doctor then reviews the Anima consultation and will action and arrange appointment(s) of tasks accordingly, often on the same day. Anima is
being used by a number of patients to
access the surgery instead of waiting
in the telephone line. Our goal is to encourage higher usage for all those
that have online access. Please visit the surgery website to link to the Anima platform. At your initial log in you will
be required to complete registration
online.
We are acutely aware access can still
be an undertaking for patients. Every year we ask all of our patients to share their experiences using the patient survey. Sharing views by filling in this short form with options to tick boxes and use free text boxes is valuable. A paper copy of the patient survey is available at reception. To complete online, please visit http://forms.office. com/e/6Uvv1mTDeN
Access to primary care services is a challenge here in Oundle and nationally. Primary care resource is finite and demand growing. We can
expect a general election in the second half
of 2024, until then resource and funding for Primary care will continue as it stands. Sharing your thoughts and your patient priorities using the patient survey will certainly help us map current predetermined resource to better meet local requirements.
Access to primary care services is a challenge here in Oundle and nationally
Your current Patient Participation Group, Lakeside Healthcare at Oundle PPG, meets quarterly with Practice Partners, GPs, area and service managers. Currently Oundle PPG is made up of five members. We invite those with an interest in their local primary care services, an interest in NHS services delivery and an interest to constructively improve what we do. Your time spent with PPG is voluntary.
It is imperative that a PPG proportionately reflects the community of patients it represents. For this reason, we would especially welcome individuals from younger generations to consider this voluntary role. More information can be found from the Patients Association. www.patients-association.org.uk or telephone their helpline on 0845 6084455.
