A piano belonging to the well-known Daventry pianist and organist Reginald Foort was donated to the museum by his family and is now regularly played at exhibitions
We employed a firm of specialist removers to bring it to the museum and install it in Reception at the front of the building. It has since been moved into the main museum room to join the other exhibits.
We now have regular songs round the piano, usually associated with the theme of the exhibition we are doing at the time – recently wartime songs, with banjo and vocal accompaniment.
