 Polo
The 2021 Polo Season has seen the King’s Royal Hussars Team double down on efforts to foster the next generation of polo players.
Through weekly training sessions and Chukkas at both Tedworth Park Polo Club and Dorset Polo Club, we have seen 5 brand new players move from Student to -2 handicaps, and 7 players don a Crimson and Primrose shirt for the first time.
Despite the relative low handicap across the team at present, the season hasn’t been without victory. Paddy Selfe, Scott Pryor, Hector Fair and Nathan Turner took to the field in the Royal Artillery Cup, beating the Royal Artillery A Team 5-3 to earn their place in the final against The Royal Navy.
Some amazing stickwork at the back by Lt Fair and some impres- sive neck shots by Capt Pryor resulted in the KRH beating the Royal Navy 4-1.
2021 also saw the return of The Rundle Cup. It was fantastic to see the reappearance of KRH ties on the bank overlooking Tattoo Ground, cheering on both Paddy Selfe (Army Polo Captain) and Hector Fair (Armed Forces Polo Association Captain) in their respective games.

Captains and Subalterns Team
It’s safe to say that the Hackett Army were victorious, and the Rundle Cup remains where it belongs in The KRH Officers’ Mess.
The Captain and Subalterns’ Tournament is still well supported with a record number of teams coming together from across the Army. The KRH entry was a complete novice side, with a -8

    Golf
During 2021, the KRH golf team didn’t get the opportunity to play as a team competitively, however, they did have a few members represent the RAC team as individuals. Bringing great success and putting the Regimental name in good light across the Royal Armoured Corps. Cpl Barcroft, LCpl Marks and Tpr Jones all represented the RAC playing to a spectacular standard helping the RAC break down other Corps across the Army. RAC Vs RAPTC was first on the agenda post lockdown, which saw LCpl Marks win his match 2 & 1 in a match play event at Tidworth Garrison GC.
Having played well and winning his previous match in Tidworth, LCpl Marks was called upon again to represent the RAC team in the Corps Championships at Saunton GC. After a little moan about the accommodation for his three-night stay in Essex, which was sold as a quaint local establishment, he soon came round to the idea that a caravan beats a bivi any day, packed his bags and was waved on his way. Two days of practice before competing on the day’s morning session vs REME, Marks won his first session and in turn the RAC team also celebrated victory. The afternoon session saw them take on The Royal Artillery in a knockout phase which unfortunately didn’t go as planned. This saw them bow out

accepting a loss, however, it didn’t dampen the mood on a well- deserved week with many positives to take away.
In September, the Old Comrades came knocking with an offer we couldn’t refuse, a chance to show them what us “youngsters” can
