Volunteer Action
On 2nd November 2022 we held a Supporter Recognition event at The Queen Victoria Hall and Fletton House in Oundle – where we saw over 100 of our amazing volunteers attend. Here, we provided a lunch to say thank you for all their hard work and presented certificates for long service. The food was kindly donated by both Tesco and Co-op in Oundle, which was truly a feast!
We are always looking for support within the local area. If you have time to donate to us, please do give our offices a call to register as a driver or befriender.
Volunteer Action is a local charity supporting local residents who may be elderly, unwell, disadvantaged or have disabilities. By providing
services to these valuable members of the community, our aim is to maintain independence and improve the quality of their lives.
The volunteer action car scheme is run by volunteers within the community of Oundle and the surrounding 48 villages – we provide a driving service for medical trips to the elderly or vulnerable – in addition to a newly launch befriending scheme that is designed to help combat loneliness.
