‘Babes in the Wood’ – the Dreamers brighten up your winter
If you go down to the woods this month, you’re in for a lovely surprise that will brighten up the darkest of winter evenings as Thrapston Dreamers presents their annual pantomime. There are still some tickets remaining for both performances of “Babes in the Wood”, which will be staged at The Plaza, Thrapston, on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th February (7pm both evenings).
A group of 46 children and young people have been all working hard over the past few months to bring the show to the stage, and they are proud that they are taking on all the onstage roles and many of the backstage and front-of-house jobs. For this show, the ninth that Thrapston Dreamers has staged, the youngest team member is five and the oldest is 16.
The show, which is sponsored by AC Binns Specialist Transport Services, will combine all the usual ingredients you’d expect to see in panto together with solo, chorus and dance performances to both current and well-loved music.

Show producer Lindsay Latimer said the team were very proud of the Dreamers’ achievements in putting the show together. “They have worked incredibly hard on learning lines, rehearsing and working backstage, and we’re all hoping for enthusiastic audiences who will appreciate their talent and commitment,” she added.
