Thrapston, Denford and Islip Churches .............................
Denford Holy Trinity Church
Services for December
NB For the foreseeable future there will be only 1 Service, per month, in each of the three churches within the Benefice. A service can be accessed online each week.
services live if we can hold them, and/or online, will be announced when we can. Look on the website or for posters around or contact one of us nearer the time. We
will try and get a printed notice up in the noticeboard at the lychgate but this may not always be possible for a variety of reasons. We do, however, still extend a warm welcome to all to any of our services as and when they happen! If you would like to come to a church service but don’t want to come on your own or find getting there difficult feel free to contact one of us and we’ll do our best to help.
Sadly we can no longer have our usual Christmas Tree Festival in church but we are hoping that people might like to decorate
a tree on any theme, and display it on their property where it can be seen by the public to help make Islip that little bit more festive.
We wish all of you a very happy Christmas whatever happens.

Sadly restrictions are preventing us from holding our usual Christingle service and Village Carol service. However, we are hoping that parishioners will put a decorated Christmas tree in the Church yard, over perhaps, the weekend before Christmas. Other ideas to come!!
There will be no refreshments at any Service and we ask that you observe social distancing requirements and wear a mask. These services are subject to change as required. Feel free to contact any of us at Holy Trinity if we can help with shopping etc or just to chat! We send you all, love and hugs. Stay safe and Healthy!
St. Nicholas’ Church, Islip
It has been lovely to see at least some of you over the last few months in person in church and to share communion with you.
It is hoped that there can be some physical services in the benefice during December as well as the continuing online services. The future of course is still very uncertain so do look on the church website www.tdichurches.co.uk or ring/email one of us nearer the time. Details of Christmas

The Knots Prayer
Dear God,
Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart and my life. Remove the have nots, the can nots and the do nots that I have in my mind. Erase the will nots, may nots, and might nots that may find a home in my heart.
Release me from the could nots, would nots and should nots that obstruct my life.
And most of all, dear God,
I ask that you remove from my mind, my heart and my life all of the ‘am nots’ that I have allowed to hold me back; especially the thought that I - am not good enough. Amen.
