CRAZY
Caiden Wilkinson
Oundle Life first featured Caiden Wilkinson back in May 2021. He’s come a long way since then, but he would really benefit from more sponsors to help him fulfill his racing dreams.
Since your last update, tell us what you’ve been up to... I swapped from racing a Yamaha R6 last season to a new Kawasaki ZX6R 636 this season from Corby Kawasaki. I found
the bike handled very differently and it
took some time to get comfortable with
it, and back on the podium.
I competed in my first British Super Bike (BSB) National in the Supersport 600 class. This was a televised event and I was very happy with my 14th position. I got to meet lots of people, had my photo taken with fans and was asked to sign autographs!
I’m also now in my 2nd year at Nottingham Trent University studying for a Degree in Business Management with Entrepreneurship.
Where did you come in the championships?
I finished 3rd in the Thundersport pre-National 600 championship last season (2021) which was my first full season racing a 600.
This year I changed to a more competitive club, No Limits Racing, competing in the
Cup 600 Class and finished 3rd in the Championship. I had to work really hard all season to improve my speed, but it all paid off.
Did you get on the podium at all? After settling in with the new bike I managed to get
I managed to get myself back on the podium numerous times
myself back on the podium numerous times throughout the season, including a couple of times on the top spot.
Favourite track? My favourite track is still definitely Cadwell Park. There
is just no better feeling than launching The Mountain. The rest of the track is quite technical and fast which makes it more exciting to ride every time.
Who sponsors you? This season sponsors were RB Electrics / Keelan Barnes,
EMD Custom Graphics, Lextek , Profibre,
RST, MOTUL UK, Xclusiv Race Parts,
Corby Kawasaki, Bell Powersports UK, Hel Performance and Mark Quelch. I definitely can’t forget about the main ones being my Mum, Dad and Grandad. Without them I wouldn’t be able to race at all.
