This year has been a very strange year, with virtually all our planned activities cancelled except for our Annual General Meeting which we were able to hold at ‘Rock Steady Eddies’, in Walsall, where
we were given a very warm welcome as ever. Some branches have been able to hold meetings, carefully responding to the current regulations as to regard meetings, but ultimately, further meetings have had to be cancelled.
Alternative methods of keeping in touch have been evolved; The Association Facebook has come to the fore under the stewardship of Phil & Jane Fairbrace. New faces have appeared, particularly from
2 MERCIAN V which is marvellous, so please keep in touch. The website is now operating once again edited by Col Tony Angel. We have ventured into

in WW1 were laid to rest in this cemetery. The council and local organisations including the local Army Cadet Force had completed a large amount of work to clear the site. Various plaques have now been erected to commemorate those who fell in the Great War.
The branch goes out on weekly walks across the Cheshire countryside and

covers between 8 and 20 miles a day. They also have an annual week walking holiday and have visited, Scotland, the North East, Snowdonia and the Pennines amongst many other places.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and some members being isolated, Steve Gregory now organises a shorter monthly walk, in order for our more senior members to be included. It starts off with a breakfast, a walk of 5 – 7 miles and a few beers. Members can attend one, two or all three of the elements of the day. All events conform strictly to the COVID-19 regulations.
