us take the strenuous coast path eastwards to Lantic Cove.The scenery along this stretch of coast was more dramatic, and you could imagine smugglers luring ships to their fate on the craggy rocks.
We were hoping to head to Falmouth on Friday but the wind was still blowing quite strongly from the East so we stayed another day.Although a good breeze of about 15 knots was forecast from the East for Saturday, it didn’t materialise.
On arrival in Falmouth we found the visitor moorings opposite the town to be vacant.We decided this time to pick one up rather than anchor. In fact the anchorage was empty, whereas in August there were at least 20 to 30 boats jostling for space!
As the moorings are manned by Falmouth Yacht Haven, we were able to land our dinghy there, and use the marina facilities. Ashore, we were able to enjoy a socially distanced drink at one of the pubs along the waterfront. Later in the evening we sat on the deck of the boat sipping our aperitifs watching the sun set over the town.
Making the most of the good weather and the ability to get ashore easily we decided
to go walking again. On Sunday morning we set off bright and early.We headed South West along the coast path to Maenporth
