Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever had in your hotel? Warwick Davies and Monty Don (not at the same time).
Favourite table to dine at? Our oak table, located in an alcove, perfect for events or private dining. Although not a private room and located in the main hotel eatery, the oak table
is a very popular setting for both formal and informal gatherings and mealtimes.
Who inspires you? Kevin Charity – our
CEO. Kevin understands the importance of
staff first and ensures that all members of the Coaching Inn family are treated with the utmost importance. He has been a great support to all and proves time and time again; that he puts his Coaching Inn family at the core of the business.
Sweet or savoury, what’s your pick of the menu? Chicken and Nduja Terrine for starter and for main, Coconut and Sweet Potato Dahl.
Which other Hotel in the Coaching Inn Group would you most like to stay at? It would
have to be our latest acquisition to the Coaching Inn family, The Talbot Hotel in Malton, situated between the historic city of York and the seaside town of Scarborough. Either that or Bakewell’s Rutland Arms in the middle of the Peak District.
What makes The Talbot so special? Apart from its connection to Fotheringhay Castle, I would say the special thing about The Talbot is its team!
What’s the best cake on your afternoon tea?
The scones are homemade at the hotel and they are just delicious!
What is the best thing about your job? Being part of a great team, seeing the staff developing and progressing. And seeing people getting married, and making their day perfect!
