                                MESSY CHURCH
St. Peter’s Oundle
Messy Church is for all the family, involving Christ-centred fun activities, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration. Everyone is welcome and there’s no charge.
At St Peter’s church we love to encourage families to get involved in discovering more about stories in the Bible. At present we
sadly can’t meet in person, but we have been putting together Activity Packs each week that can be collected from the church porch and then a Bible story and guide to the crafts can be watched on our Oundle Messy Church Facebook page.
Easter is a time of remembering and celebration. Join in some of the fun as a family on this page.
      Chocolate Easter Nests
INGREDIENTS
200g milk chocolate, broken into pieces 85g shredded wheat, crushed
2 x 100g bags mini chocolate eggs You’ll also need cupcake cases
METHOD
• Melt the chocolate in a small bowl
placed over a pan of barely simmering water. Pour the chocolate over the shredded wheat and stir well to combine.
• Spoon the chocolate wheat into 12 cupcake cases and press the back of a teaspoon in the centre to create a nest shape.
• Place 3 mini chocolate eggs on top of each nest.
• Chill the nests in the fridge for 2 hrs until set.
   Making a Cross
Here are variety of ways you could make a cross. I wonder if you could try one of these ideas or think of one of your own.
• Find two twigs and tie them together with thread and stand in a flowerpot with soil in it
• Cut out a cross shape from an A4 sheet of paper. Then decorate your cross with small pieces of coloured paper like a mosaic or put fingerprint dots with paint on the
cross
• Copy the craft in the picture as another way to make
a cross
We hope you enjoy making some of these things linked with Easter and do check out the Facebook page for more things to do. www.facebook.com/messychurchoundle/ If you would like to have any further information about our activities for children and families please do contact our Associate Vicar, Revd Annabel Copeland by email annabel@stpetersoundle.co.uk
 Interesting fact:
Did you know that the first ‘Easter eggs’ were eggs from ducks or hens painted or dyed in bright colours?
